Documents in general
Wrong company number is quoted on either the first page or on any of the pages of a document
Advice:
Always check the company number stated on every page of a document before delivery to the Companies Registry for registration. The stating of an incorrect company number in a document may result in the misplacement of the document into the public records of a different company.
Insufficient fee is paid
Advice:
Documents which are not accompanied by correct registration fees will be considered as unsatisfactory documents. The Companies Registry may refuse to accept the document or refuse to register them even after they have been accepted. In cases such as annual returns, the amount of registration fees payable are calculated according to the dates of re-delivery of the documents. Please therefore prepare the correct amount of registration fees when documents are delivered to the Companies Registry for registration.
No change of information is reported in a form, i.e. a form is delivered to report changes of particulars already reported
Advice:
Check the records of the company carefully before delivering a form for reporting changes of particulars to avoid duplicate reporting.
Documents are delivered for registration in respect of a company which has already dissolved
Advice:
Document presentors should always check the status of a company before delivering documents to the Companies Registry for registration. Documents delivered in respect of dissolved companies cannot be registered and will be returned to the presentors.
You can always conduct a free search on the company's status at our e-Services Portal.
