Introduction

Search services on information of companies and body corporates registered under the following ordinances are available to the members of the public:

- Companies Ordinance (Cap. 622);
- Limited Partnerships Ordinance (Cap. 37);
- Money Lenders Ordinance (Cap. 163);
- Registered Trustees Incorporation Ordinance (Cap. 306); 
- Securities and Futures Ordinance (Cap. 571)(relating to Open-ended Fund companies);
- Limited Partnership Fund Ordinance (Cap. 637); and
- Miscellaneous Incorporation Ordinances.

With the implementation of Unique Business Identifier (“UBI”) whereby the Business Registration Number (“BRN”) replaced the company registration number (“CR No.”) as the key number for searching and identifying a company or entity, a quick search function is provided through the e-Search Services under the e-Services Portal to facilitate users to look up the corresponding BRN of companies or entities incorporated or registered before the implementation of UBI by their CR No. and vice versa.

Users can conduct searches on the current data of registered companies and image records of documents registered and kept in the Companies Register.

Users can also place orders for certified copies of image records of registered documents and search reports, or apply for a Certificate of Continuing Registration and Commemorative Records of Registration.
