Prosecution Case Details

In January 2018, CONVOY CHINA FINANCIAL SERVICES LIMITED (CR No. : 1284728) ("the Company") was prosecuted by the Companies Registry and convicted at the Eastern Magistrates’ Courts (i) under section 111(1) of the predecessor Companies Ordinance (i.e. the Companies Ordinance, Cap. 32, as in force before the commencement of the Companies Ordinance, Cap. 622 ("the Ordinance")) for failing to hold annual general meeting for 2014 and (ii) under section 610(1) of the Ordinance for failing to hold annual general meeting for the financial year 2015 within 9 months after the end of the accounting reference period. The Company was fined $5,000 for each offence and a total fine of $10,000 was imposed.
