Restriction-Testing Declaration (RTD) Operation
The Companies Registry (CR) coordinated and conducted an RTD operation at a block of Po Tin Estate, Tuen Mun on 19 and 20 March 2022. The Registrar of Companies and over 80 colleagues from the CR and the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau (FSTB) took part in the operation. Starting at 4 p.m. on 19 March 2022, the operation saw the working staff divided into different groups to register contact information of residents and help those who had undergone test to wear a wristband for identification purpose. The working staff also distributed food packs, anti-epidemic proprietary Chinese medicine and rapid antigen test kits to residents. There were also colleagues responsible for manning enquiry hotlines, inputting information and organising statistical data of the operation, liaising with confirmed residents and arranging for them to be admitted to community isolation facilities. The operation was eventually wrapped up smoothly at 2:30 p.m. on 20 March 2022.
Miss Delphi Fan, Companies Registration Officer I, said, “This is the first time I had taken part in an RTD operation. The feeling was special. The operation seemingly lasted for two days and one night, but we actually spent considerable time to plan the details of the operation workflow. Thanks to the unison of the officers of the CR and the FSTB, as well as the cooperation of other relevant departments and service providers, the whole operation was completed in an orderly manner.”

Contact tracing of COVID-19 Confirmed Cases
40 colleagues from different sections and grades in CR were deployed to work in the Contact Tracing Office (CTO) in Mong Kok during the period from 28 February to 31 May 2022. They were mainly responsible for contacting persons tested positive for COVID-19 by phone, helping them complete online declaration or verifying the information they provided, and seeking information on their close contacts. Such information would facilitate the Centre for Health Protection to follow up on the cases concerned and make suitable arrangements for isolation or quarantine so as to terminate the transmission chain as soon as possible.

Packaging of Anti-epidemic Service Bags
18 colleagues of the CR, together with over 10,000 volunteers and civil service colleagues, took part in the packing of anti-epidemic service bags from 30 March to 1 April 2022. Each service bag consisted of rapid antigen test kits, face masks, proprietary Chinese medicines, an anti-epidemic handbook and a greeting card produced by the Government. Distribution of the service bags to about 3 million households in 18 districts kicked off on 2 April 2022.
Ms Vivi Lam, Companies Registration Officer II, participated in the packaging work at a packaging centre in Kowloon Tong Government Primary School. She said, “The packaging work commenced immediately after a briefing was completed at about 9 a.m. Five CR colleagues and I displayed esprit de corps to carry out every step ranging from the transportation of packaging materials to the sealing of the service bags. We gradually grasped the way to do the packaging in the most efficient way, gained momentum as we packed more and more service bags and finished the work smoothly and speedily.”
